Roadmap
This page describes the direction of Docify — not a list of promises or dates.
Docify is intentionally focused and opinionated.
Near-Term Direction
Upcoming work focuses on:
- Documentation drift detection
- Coverage visibility and reporting
- Better explanations in documentation PRs
- Improved framework awareness
The goal is to improve long-term documentation correctness, not increase automation volume.
Long-Term Philosophy
Docify is built around a few core beliefs:
- Documentation is a contract, not marketing
- Small changes are better than large rewrites
- Humans should approve all changes
- GitHub should remain the primary interface
- Trust matters more than clever automation
Future features will reinforce these principles.
What Docify Will Not Build
Docify intentionally avoids:
- Auto-merging documentation
- Full documentation rewrites
- Proprietary documentation editors
- Dashboards that duplicate GitHub
- Content generation detached from code
- “Magic” AI behavior
If a feature reduces trust or control, it will not be built.
Feedback Process
Feedback is welcome and encouraged.
The best ways to influence the roadmap:
- Open issues
- Provide feedback on pull requests
- Share real-world use cases
Features are prioritized based on:
- Safety
- Real developer pain
- Long-term maintainability
Summary
Docify aims to become the quiet documentation maintenance layer for modern codebases.
Not louder. Not smarter. Just more reliable.
